PECAN+ is a collaborative initiative requiring support from across the cyber security ecosystem. Edith Cowan University’s School of Science leads the initiative, with higher education institutions and government agencies across Australia hosting local PECAN+ activations. University and Tafe students create PECAN+ cyber security challenges, mentor and provide Training Day workshops. Industry and government representatives provide mentorship, presentations and valuable insights to competitors. Teachers rally their students to form teams and support development of their cyber skills in the lead up. PECAN+ also relies on extensive IT infrastructure including Kasm Workspaces, Kali Linux instances, GitHub, CTFd and Discord, and our Infrastructure Lead, Tom Plant.
